The Anzano Social Club, established in 1976, is an Italian club based in Adelaide representing migrants from the town of Anzano in Italy.
OUR VISION
Our vision for this association is to foster a vibrant community that celebrates and supports the interests of the Italian community in Adelaide, with a special focus on those hailing from Anzano Di Puglia. We aim to enhance social connections within this group, as well as within the broader Italian community in Adelaide.
WHAT WE DO
We promote the interests and social interaction of the Italian community in Adelaide through various initiatives. Our activities include organising social and sporting events, providing amenities for recreation, and ensuring comfortable accommodation for our members. By offering these services, we aim to create opportunities for meaningful connections and support among our community members.

​Our community is comprised of individuals who share a common heritage and a love for Italian culture. We are particularly proud of our roots in Anzano Di Puglia, and we warmly welcome all Italians in Adelaide. Our Association, Committee, and Members are dedicated to enhancing the community, ensuring every member feels valued and supported.
ABOUT THE ANZANO SOCIAL CLUB IN ADELAIDE
The Anzano Social Club is an Italian club based in Adelaide representing migrants from the town of Anzano in Italy. The first immigrants came to Australia in the early 1950's and settled on the east coast of Australia.
In 1976 the Anzano Social Club (Adelaide) was founded.

In 1979 the Anzano Club purchased its current premises located at 2 Chief St Hindmarsh South Australia 5007.

The club continues to support its members and the community by holding regular Sunday Lunches on the last Sunday of each month, cooking traditional Italian meals from that region.
Of particular importance is the annual Madonna Festival held in May of each year.

ABOUT ANZANO DI PUGLIA
Anzano di Puglia is a town and comune in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region of southeast Italy.
According to the results of the national census made in 1991 Anzano di Puglia has a population of 2,239 inhabitants (Anzanesi), a surface of 11.12 square kilometers and a population density of 201.3 inhabitants per square kilometer. By 2008 the population had fallen to 1,972. It sits 760 metres above sea level.

Anzano's geographical position has made it a commune in the province of Foggia, Puglia and region of Apulia in the southeast of Italy.
In 1810 it was incorporated into the province of Foggia. In 1862 it was absorbed by the province of Avellino and named Anzano degli Irpini. In 1931 it returned to the province of Foggia.

It is located at the intersection of two ancient Roman roads, namely Via Erculea and Via Aurelia Haeclansis, which leads to Herdonias (Ordona).
